This lesson is about “Rhythm Changes”, a chord progression that comes from George Gershwin’s song “I Got Rhythm”. Over the years jazz musicians compose their own tunes based on the chord structure of the Rhythm Changes. Some of the better known tunes are: Anthropology, Oleo and Moose The Mooche. Or Charlie Parker’s “Dexterity”, a great song i’m using in this lesson: First we learn to play the head/melody and a written out Solo. Last but not least we explore the changes and learn to comp the chords with some nice and easy variations. All explained clearly and written out in notes and tabs including fingerings! A “must know” for any aspiring guitarist!
